The two last groups of young men who attended the initiation schools in Hermanus will be leaving the municipal farm in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley later this afternoon, 5 January 2023 and early Friday morning, 6 January 2023 at 02:00.

Expect singing as the Basotho men find their way to their buses that will transport them to their final destinations.

Please also take note that the public may see/smell smoke tomorrow morning. The Fire Service Department will be in attendance and on standby with the traditional burning of the makeshift shelters.
